The lead vocalist of Dance With a Stranger has, over several decades, built a successful solo career and has developed into one of Norway’s most beloved artists. His ability to convey lyrics and melody with his uniquely distinctive voice was even described on Hver Gang Vi Møtes as “creating art on TV.” ELG also holds the title “voice of the century” following a victory on TV2, a recognition we believe is well deserved.
ELG is a family-oriented and socially engaged artist, raised in Kristiansund, where the weather plays a big role in daily life. This is reflected in several of the Norwegian-language songs on his latest album, Ei merkelig tid. On stage, he is better than ever, delivering powerful and grounded lyrics that resonate deeply with his audience.
A concert with ELG features a mix of his own songs and audience favorites. New releases are also welcomed by fans—ELG is constantly writing, and in autumn 2022 he released the single NEW, this time in English. During summer, he combines solo performances with Dance With a Stranger, one of Norway’s best-selling bands, which celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2024!
