One of the many things Hana and Fairchild have in common is that they both had somewhat difficult upbringings. Despite this, both have been like the dandelion: possessing the determination to grow, rise above adversity and flourish in inhospitable surroundings. Perhaps the most obvious parallel between Espen and Kim is that music became their salvation. Today, both are versatile artists with extensive stage experience as singers and actors.
This will be celebrated in LØVETANN, which is in every sense a musical performance, but should not be confused with a musical or a one-dimensional concert. LØVETANN will be performed with an all-star jazz orchestra in “prime time” on the Main Stage!
Mathias Eick is responsible for the music, performing alongside Audun Erlien on bass, Pål Hausken on drums, Morten Røsbak on keyboards, and Simen Kiil sharing trumpet duties with Eick. The instrumental sections consist of Mathias Eick’s own compositions, while the rest of the repertoire features personal favourite songs from Fairchild and Hana’s lives, interpreted by Mathias.
In collaboration with Stavanger Jazzforum, this is a unique opportunity to experience Hana and Fairchild performing brilliantly on the concert stage at Spor 5 with the fantastic The Dandelion Band, led by Mathias Eick! As in LØVETANN, the concert will feature both original compositions and the band’s favourite jazz pieces.
