Jazz history is full of many legendary piano trios - and now one of the country's most exciting pianists has taken the trio format to new heights!
Eyolf Dale has over the last ten years impressed the global jazz audience with his rhythmic drive, exploratory curiosity and lyrical, singing tonal language. As a musician and composer he has worked with countless projects and written music for everything from solo piano to the Broadcasting Orchestra - with glowing reviews from both audiences and the music press.
Recently he released the album When Shadows Dance, to fantastic reviews from the music press and enthusiastic feedback from the fans. The record received a perfect six from Nettavisen, and was also lavishly praised in Dagens Næringsliv.
In his trio he has assembled a trio of musicians at the absolute top level! With drummer and pillar of Norwegian jazz, Audun Kleive, who has no less than close to two hundred releases behind him, and bassist Per Zanussi, widely known for his original, searching style.
The trio delivers music at the intersection of jazz and classical; rhythm-driven and intricate, in a particularly soulful and melodic guise. Look forward to interplay of world class!
