Mongoland Turns 25!
Long live Mongoland! The cult classic that put Stavanger on the film map is celebrating its 25th anniversary.
Mongoland hardly needs an introduction, but here’s a quick recap for anyone new to town. Directed by Arild Østin Ommundsen, this low-budget film broke new ground for Stavanger as a filmmaking city when it was released in 2001. The cast, who were relatively unknown at the time, have since become some of the biggest names in Norwegian and Nordic cinema.
The anniversary will be celebrated with a screening in Maskinhallen and the unmistakable Mongoland atmosphere that only Tou can create.
