From youthful pop comet to one of Western Norway’s most exciting songwriters.
Frida Amundsen has evolved from a young pop sensation into one of the most exciting and experienced songwriters on the west coast. The artist from Vaksdal signed her first record deal at 17, and since then she has delivered radio hits like Closer, Rush and Opp – songs that firmly established her as a name to watch. At the same time, she has made her mark as a strong songwriter for others, contributing to well-known Norwegian artists such as Peder Elias, Sandra Lyng, Matilda and Depresno.
In recent years, Frida has reached a new and wider audience through her Norwegian translations of well-known songs like When You Say Nothing At All, Save Your Tears and Nothing Else Matters, which have earned her a large and engaged following on social media.
In 2025 she released the single SPOR – a song that resonates with its honest portrayal of life’s ups and downs. It has made a strong impact on listeners and clearly points to an artist in artistic development.
Now Frida is looking ahead. In 2026 she will release her first Norwegian-language album – a collection of songs ranging from energetic pop moments to more quiet, melancholic reflections.
