Frøkedal & Powerfolk-Familien Frøkedal has for many years been a distinctive force in the Norwegian music scene with catchy alternative pop that branches out into both rock and folk music.
Although Frøkedal still holds on to the electric guitar, it was the attempt to learn to play fiddle that left the greatest mark on the latest record STAY (2024). Here she digs into homegrown musical treasure chests and lets pure pop songs melt seamlessly together with asymmetric pols rhythms, waltz and sing-along rock.
At Landmark you will see Frøkedal at her most folk music-adjacent, in interplay with Powerfolk-Familien: Olav Christer Rossebø (fiddle, mandola), Anders Hana (langeleik, guitar, jaw harp), Ingeleiv Berstad (fiddle, vocals) and Selma French (fiddle, vocals).

Frøkedal has received warm coverage in The New Yorker and The Sunday Times, has performed live on BBC Radio 6 and received two Spellemann nominations. Frøkedal & Familien have also been invited to open for major names such as A-ha, Madrugada and Teenage Fanclub.
