FUGLEN x GORRLAUS – folk dance night! // Tou
Always wanted to try folk dancing but never found the right opportunity? Now’s the chance!
The evening begins with a complete introduction to folk dancing, led by highly experienced instructors Brigitte Blomlie and Lars Fivelstad Smaabergleiar. The session covers traditional village dances and social dances that have been practised in the region since time immemorial.
After the introduction, the dance floor opens for free dancing. Live traditional music from Rogaland will fill the creaking wooden floor, with a tune-playing relay featuring Malmin, Stavanger Folkemusikklag and more.
Whether it is a first encounter with folk dancing or there is already plenty of experience on the dance floor, this promises to be an evening to look forward to. A social meeting place for dance, music, and familiar and new faces. Come along as you are, or bring a friend.
