When you can’t live by fitting in, you must stand out. The Danish extreme metal band GALGE is innovative and refuses to follow stereotypical genre conventions.
GALGE is an extreme metal band delivering hard-hitting and inventive music. They blend elements of death metal, black metal, and post-rock, adding beautiful chord progressions, technical riffs, and unusual time signatures to their sound.
Vocals by Søren Tuborg feature a dynamic and extremely wide vocal range, alongside crushing Danish growls. Sofus Emil Kromann is a true guitar virtuoso, hammering technically and aggressively throughout the soundscape. Mathias Lundbæk (drums) and Halfdan Geertsen (bass) form the stable core of the band with crushing, heavy grooves that fill the room.
From Debut to Copenhell
Since their debut album Løkkelig in 2021, GALGE has become a fixture on the Danish metal scene. They have performed at most major Danish venues and festivals, including SPOT, When Copenhell Freezes Over, and most recently Copenhell 2023.
On the 2025 album Dødelig, GALGE demonstrates an extremely high artistic level. The sound is sharper and more penetrating, strengthened by years of live shows and technical professionalism. The lyrics explore love, human interactions, and emotions, reflecting on everyday life.
GALGE is at the forefront of the new Danish wave of metal, proving that Denmark produces bands capable of an international impact.
