Hekla Stålstrenga celebrated 20 years in 2025 with a new album and tour
Since 2005, Hekla Stålstrenga’s blend of northern Norwegian folk music, ballads, and acoustic pop has been their signature sound. With a new album in hand, they bring a cross-section of their repertoire — from their most delicate songs to their most energetic tunes.
In autumn 2025, they released Heimført — “a tribute to northern Norwegian folk music,” as the band themselves describe it. The album has received glowing reviews and reflects both a return to their roots and a look toward the future. The Heimført tour captures this duality — a journey through the band’s 20-year history, interwoven with new material from the latest release.
