Henriette Eilertsen has in recent years established herself as an innovative voice on the Norwegian jazz scene. With a playful approach to the possibilities of the jazz flute she moves fluidly between contemporary jazz, improvisation and chamber music expressions. In 2024 she received the prestigious musician's prize at Kongsberg Jazzfestival for her fresh contribution to the Norwegian jazz scene.
In Henriette Eilertsen Trio she is joined by cellist Joel Ring and drummer Øystein Aarnes Vik. Together they create a bubbling interplay marked by captivating compositions and balanced playing that at the same time manages to be both intimate and almost boundlessly expansive.
Henriette Eilertsen Trio has just released the debut album «Moder» - a warm, mysterious and alluring soundscape that has given them a reputation as one of the most tight-knit bands on the Norwegian jazz scene right now. (Dag og Tid, Lars Mossefinn) Aftenposten, Klassekampen, Dagsavisen and Nettavisen have all given it a score of 5, and the record was highlighted as one of the best jazz albums in March 2026 on Bandcamp.
The trio invites you into a sonic universe where melodic lines float above an intricate rhythmic foundation. The music is expressive and hypnotic, inspired by jazz, folk music and experimental sound worlds.
