Since its beginnings in Bergen’s underground scene, Hjerteslag has established itself as one of Norway’s most distinctive rock bands. With Robert Eidevik’s unique songwriting and lyrical universe at the forefront, the band delivers melodic, noisy, and street-poetic rock in Norwegian.
Following the comeback with Tyvens Dagbok (2022) and Betonglandskap (2024), Hjerteslag is now set to release its sixth album Vi kommer for å stjele dine barn og andre taterballader on 9 January 2026. The first single is “Aldri Dra Herifra Vadmyra.”
The debut album Møhlenpris Motell was a critical success, while Vannmann86 brought commercial breakthrough, including the radio hit “Sang Til Sonja,” named Best Song of 2016 by Dagbladet.
Hjerteslag further cemented its position with Nattseileren (2018), earning Robert Eidevik the Edvard Prize for lyrics, before the comeback with Tyvens Dagbok (2022) and a new lineup received glowing reviews.
With Betonglandskap (2024), the band returned to Bergen both thematically and musically. The album explores life in the suburbs, struggles outside society, and the melancholic yet catchy melodies that have become Hjerteslag’s trademark.
