Volya Theatre presents: HOTEL EDEN by Emilie Hetland

One room. A secret. Songs for a revolutionary cat.

In a city under surveillance, a secretary and a revolutionary meet to decide what must be hidden and what must survive. Rosa’s absence fills the room. Through the night, they are pushed towards the inevitable – to the limits of human endurance.

Who owns the story?
Who owns the dead?
What happened at Hotel Eden that night?

Based on the death, letters and legacy of Rosa Luxemburg – and those left behind.

With Hotel Eden, Volya Theatre presents the second production in its international series on revolutionary women.

Created by an international team: directed by Katie O’Halloran, with lighting design by Suzie Cummins and sound design by Daniel O’Brien. Performed by Ruarí Lenaghan and Emilie Hetland as Leon and Tilly. Written by Emilie Hetland.

The performance is in English.
