This is a celebration evening at Grieghallen where we mark Jan Eggum turning 75 years old. We celebrate our very own Bergen native in the city's grand venue. With a full band and invited guests the songs are lifted into a larger format, and the evening reflects the breadth, distinctiveness and strength of his catalogue.
With guitar, voice and a solid repertoire Eggum presents the songs as they were written: Direct, honest and without unnecessary trappings. For several decades he has been a clear voice in Norwegian song tradition, with precise observations and a sharp eye for both the serious and the everyday. The songs still hit home – no matter when you first hear them.
