JazzGalleriet is playing for the first time together with guitar hero Jan Ove Nordeide! The Landås native has long been a familiar face to the city's large blues congregation, and currently appears at clubs and festivals with the bands Bluezifer, Up Zydrome and Pretty Blue. He has mastered most of the Stones, Hendrix and the tough repertoire from the sixties. That is why it is very exciting to invite Jan Ove to join us - here he puts together a repertoire specially for the occasion.
Guitar fans are in for a treat, as we will be playing tough tracks by John Scofield, Robben Ford and Nordeide himself. Expect cool guitar riffs, funky drums, swirling organ and pumping bass. Jan Ove also sings, with feeling and blue notes. At this concert, the November blues will let go!
Use your Saturday for a musical encounter with new faces and voices from the flora of Fana locals and Bergensians who dabble in live music! JazzGalleriet is local afternoon jazz, served in Småsalen one Saturday a month. Here you will hear the regular house band with guests perform inspired interpretations of a varied jazz repertoire.
Light refreshments available.
The house band this time consists of:
Øystein Kvinge, piano and organ
Thomas Aurlund Lossius, bass
Jan Tore Ness, drums
Fana kulturhus, Småsalen
