JESUS CHRIST SUPERSTAR - For the first time the legendary rock musical is being staged in Bergen!
28 January 2027 will be a historic date for Bergen. That day Jesus Christ Superstar takes over Forum Scene in a spectacular new production with some of Norway's and Bergen's very greatest artists in the lead roles.
Meet Adam Douglas in the title role as Jesus, Myra (Regina Tucker) as Mary Magdalene, Bjarte Hjelmeland as King Herod, Helge Jordal as Pontius Pilate and Kristian Berg Jåtten as Judas himself.
With immortal songs such as Jesus Christ Superstar, I Don't Know How to Love Him and Gethsemane the story of the last dramatic days of Jesus' life is retold. The production offers an intense reckoning between faith, power, love and betrayal - conveyed with raw rock, powerful emotions and a spectacular stage show.
Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice's grand musical has delighted millions of audiences for over 50 years. From Broadway and the West End to the biggest stages around the world, the production has established itself as one of the most iconic productions of all time.
