Jon Ranes on the WORLD’S BEST TOUR
After a Joachim Trier summer, we’re heading into a Jon Ranes winter. Jon Ranes & The Heartbreakers are hitting the road on the WORLD’S BEST TOUR.
On Friday, October 3, Ranes released his second album — an honest, ambitious, and raw project that has already struck a chord with fans. Now, he’s bringing the music to life on stage together with The Heartbreakers — the world’s best band.
“I’ve made autumn and winter music. The world’s best kind of music. And it’s going to be played loud all across Norway,” says Ranes.
On WORLD’S BEST ALBUM, the 23-year-old shows a new and more mature side of himself. He writes about love, loneliness, artificial intelligence, and growing up — with humor, vulnerability, and intensity. The music draws inspiration from both Scandinavian singer-songwriter pop and classic rock, with clear nods to Håkan Hellström and Stein Torleif Bjella.
Ranes first became known as a member of the rap group UNDERGRUNN before debuting as a solo artist with Loverboy — one of the most popular releases of autumn 2022, featuring “Blod,” one of the year’s most-played songs. At the same time, the Oslo native has made his mark as an actor, with roles in Out Stealing Horses, Konvoi, Pørni, and Flus.
