Over the last year Jonas Alaska has released his first songs with Norwegian lyrics, to a fantastic reception from reviewers and audiences. This year he releases his first album in his mother tongue, and there is every reason to look forward to diving into Alaska's musical universe. In the wake of the album release, Alaska heads out on tour that visits both small and large stages in Norway.
Jonas Alaska is one of his generation's strongest songwriters in this country, and is behind unforgettable songs such as «October», «If Only as a Ghost», «In The Backseat» and «Morning Light». He received a triple Spellemann nomination for his debut album, and has since then released five albums that have all received a glowing reception both in and outside Norway.
Alaska has a distinctive ability to put words to the close and recognisable, and combined with an unusual melodic instinct, he delivers songs of high quality. A concert with Jonas Alaska is also always spiced with humorous storytelling, and is something everyone should treat themselves to.
