At the forefront is guitar phenomenon Josh Meader, a First-Class Honours graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and already a benchmark in the international guitar scene. His dazzling technique, melodic precision and effortless virtuosity have taken him to stages including Ronnie Scott’s in London, the Montreux Jazz Festival and JazzAhead in Bremen. He recently gained further international attention through a critically acclaimed collaboration with drum icon Virgil Donati on a reimagining of Allan Holdsworth’s City Nights.
Joining him are two of Australia’s most prominent young musicians – both winners of the National Jazz Award: Alex Hirlian (drums, 2018) and Matt Thomson (keyboards, 2021). Together, they form a trio renowned for extreme precision, explosive energy and exceptionally tight musical chemistry.
This autumn, the trio sets off on its second European tour, stopping in Norway and Stavanger for the first time.
