Sverre Bjertnæs is one of Norway’s leading visual artists and a critically acclaimed essayist. His books Mine bilder and Morsdager have received wide attention from both readers and critics.
In Mine bilder, Bjertnæs takes works of art from his own collection as a starting point, using them as an entryway into stories about life, artistic practice and relationships between artists.
The latest book, Morsdager, is also presented. The book is a personal and quiet reflection on saying goodbye to a parent. Through the days at his mother’s deathbed, memories, reflections and experiences are woven together into a poignant and thoughtful story about life, love and loss.
