Zum Hauptinhalt

Author, theatre director and filmmaker Dag Johan Haugerud knows us inside out. No other Norwegian artist’s books have captured the way we Norwegians interact and talk to one another. At the same time, he is equally concerned with our bodies, offering detailed descriptions of how illness can diminish our quality of life. He meets Ingrid Z. Aanestad for a conversation about faith, love and morality, and, not least, about the overarching artistic project behind Dag Johan Haugerud’s work.

Dag Johan Haugerud has received the P2 Listeners’ Literature Prize, several Amanda Awards and the Nordic Council Film Prize twice. His latest novel is Sjelesorg (2025).

Ingrid Z. Aanestad has written novels and essays. Her latest book is Eit verkeleg liv (2026).

The event is part of Kapittel – Stavanger International Festival of Literature and Freedom of Speech, taking place from 16–20 September 2026. More information, the programme and tickets can be found at www.kapittel.no.

Please note that photographs and video may be taken at some events at Sølvberget and during the Kapittel Festival for documentation purposes and use on social media.
