What happens when opposites meet and no one leaves?
What happens when a spectacularly out of place British liberal walks into a diner deep in red state Kentucky and finds common ground with a MAGA general, a KKK fanatic and a trans mom?
Kentucky Daze is based on Kate Pendry’s journey to Kentucky, USA, in October 2024, two weeks before the election that would return Donald Trump to the presidency. The performance is not an analysis of Trump or his followers, but an exploration of the culture wars that threaten to engulf us all.
Kate Pendry is a British Norwegian actor, playwright and performance artist. She has written and produced numerous works including My Dinner With Putin, Dead Diana and Pornography, several of which have been presented internationally. Pendry is known as a political and controversial artist, recognised for her dark humour and sharp social commentary.
