Klubb Komle presenterer: Reolô Releasekonsert

The quintet, consisting of some of the country's most exciting multi-instrumentalists, has established itself as something of a superband – with a tight interplay and an expression that is both deeply rooted and radically forward-leaning. Musically the band moves from Norwegian folk dance music, via rocky grooves with inspiration from both West Africa and America to pure energy outbursts. Or as Arvid Skancke-Knutsen in Klassekampen said: "as if Velvet Underground had secretly been rehearsing for years in a Norwegian storehouse". With lyrics about prepping, the flock of sheep racing towards the cliff edge and a hard spring, the band tries to capture the present moment, while the focus on groove, tight interplay and old-fashioned tonality gives the music a slightly timeless quality. Reolô has managed to become something of a superband in Norwegian folk music as well as in rock.
