Not many people thought this would ever happen, but here she is – bursting with energy, life experience and stories to share. She has risen from the brink of death and now generously shares her insights and humour after one of the most extraordinary journeys life can offer.
This is Christine Koht as audiences know her – warm, outrageous and filled with more joy for life than ever before.
Because, as Christine says, people are stronger than they think. And stranger and funnier too. Strength and adventure can be found everywhere – even when confined to a small hospital room for months. It can be surprisingly joyful there as well. At least when Christine is around.
Christine Koht has received the greatest gift anyone can receive – life itself! Now she wants to give back all the energy and joy she can.
“This show is my tribute to everyone in the healthcare system,” says Christine. “It is a colourful celebration filled with humour, warmth and gratitude. I have been given the greatest gift possible – life itself. Many people think I survived because of my positive attitude, and that is lovely to hear. But most of all, it was the incredibly impressive medical treatment.”
“This is what I dreamed of while I was confined to a small, beige hospital room for 16 months – returning one day to say thank you. And there is no one I would rather thank and honour than all of you. So much in the world feels dark and difficult at the moment. What is needed now is Koht, hope and joy.
