The name “Coptic” comes from the Coptic Christians in Egypt around the 3rd–7th centuries, who were among the first to assemble pages into book form. This binding has an open spine with a decorative chain stitch that attaches the pages directly to the cover without using glue. We will be making a simple version of this book.
No prior experience is required, and the museum provides all materials you need.
