On 15 November 2026 one of modern soul's most distinctive voices takes the stage at Røkeriet at USF Verftet.
With her raspy, unmistakable vocals, funky energy and uncompromising relationship with soul, Macy Gray has been in a class of her own since her breakthrough in the late 90s. Her music is direct, honest and full of personality – with songs that hit just as hard on the dance floor as in the heart.
Gray broke through internationally in 1999 with the triple platinum debut album On How Life Is. The album contained the worldwide hit «I Try», which earned her a Grammy for best female pop vocal. Since then she has sold over 25 million albums, received five Grammy nominations and two BRIT Awards, and built a loyal fan base all over the world.
Throughout her career she has collaborated with artists such as Ariana Grande, Bobby Brown and Galactic, while cementing her reputation as a formidable live artist.
On stage she combines soul, R&B and funk with raw presence, humour and a voice you recognise after the very first note.
In addition to her music, Macy Gray has made her mark as an actress in films and series such as Training Day, For Colored Girls and Fuller House.
