Mick Harvey & Amanda Acevedo at Lille Ole Bull 3 November: A musical collaboration in constant bloom

Mick Harvey and Amanda Acevedo come to Lille Ole Bull 3 November. The duo continues their ever closer collaboration and returns to Europe in spring 2026 with a series of concerts in connection with the release of their upcoming album Golden Mirrors. In addition to songs from this album they will also perform selected songs from their duet album «Phantasmagoria in Blue» (2023), as well as Harvey's solo album «Five Ways to Say Goodbye» (2024).
Mick Harvey is a recognised musician, producer and composer who has been active for over 45 years. He is perhaps best known as a member of The Birthday Party and The Bad Seeds, as well as for his long-standing collaboration with PJ Harvey and Nick Cave. In addition to having composed music for 10 feature films and a number of short films and documentaries, he has released 10 solo albums over the last 20 years and received several awards from the Australian music industry. He won the AFI award for Best Original Music for «Suburban Mayhem» in 2006, and in 2011 he was named British producer of the year for his (co)production of PJ Harvey's «Let England Shake».
The Mexican artist Amanda Acevedo is now deep into her ongoing collaboration with Mick Harvey. After studying film in her home city of San Luis Potosí in 2020/21, Acevedo joined forces with one of her heroes to create a thematically rich collection of duets, «Phantasmagoria in Blue», and continues this work into 2025 with their new release «Golden Mirrors».
«Golden Mirrors: The Uncovered Sessions Vol. 1» is the new album by Mick Harvey & Amanda Acevedo. This is planned as the first in a series of projects that examines songwriters that Harvey and Acevedo have a particular fondness for. In this case the songwriter is Jackson C. Frank, a once nearly forgotten American folk pop artist who has recently enjoyed a new rediscovery. Songs by Frank are interpreted here by Harvey and Acevedo.
