Miss Wednesday plays eco-folk-pop bubbling over with optimism, positivity and joy. Modern flower power meets catchy hooks, Joni Mitchell meets MIKA, and Miss Wednesday herself greets you at the door with open arms and the warmest smile in the world.
The frontwoman, born on a Wednesday, started the project on her own, following the singer-songwriter tradition. Since then, she has brought together a whole flock of musicians to form a big, playful band with a flexible line-up. In this universe of acoustic guitar, organic sounds and brass instruments, lyrics designed to spread hope and comfort in the face of the climate crisis take centre stage.
Her commitment goes beyond the music: she makes percussion instruments out of rubbish, stage outfits from plastic bags, and upcycled merchandise from second-hand T-shirts, old jeans and guitar strings.
In 2025, she released the single Sunflower Inflation and played to a bouncing crowd at Vill Vill Vest. This year, she has performed at 100dagar, sailed with the literary boat EPOS and Framtidshavet to inspire the protection of the Hardangerfjord, and played at Vikedal Roots Music Festival.
Whether performing solo or with the full band, being in Miss Wednesday's presence turns grey Mondays into sunny Wednesdays.
