The Norwegian National School Brass Band Championships (NM Skolekorps Brass) is an annual competition for school brass bands in Norway. The competition consists of four divisions, and bands may choose which division to enter based on their own standard and level of performance.
Participating bands perform a self-selected programme, which is evaluated by two adjudicators. The judges assess each performance based on musicality, technical ability, interpretation and overall presentation.
The competition takes place in the Fartein Valen Hall and Kuppelhallen at Stavanger Concert Hall, as well as at University of Stavanger. All divisions perform their programmes at scheduled times throughout the competition day.
The day concludes with a gala concert for all participants, followed by an awards ceremony where the results are announced. Prizes are awarded to the top three bands in each division.
