The Incredible Story of the Giant Pear
Jakob Martin Strid is known for his wild humour, colourful worlds and wonderfully imaginative stories for children. This autumn, the beloved tale The Incredible Story of the Giant Pear comes to the Main Stage.
Forty fearless young performers from the Children and Young People’s Theatre invite audiences aboard for a fantastical and fruity adventure, directed and adapted for the stage by Charlotte Frogner.
Siblings Mitcho and Sebastian love telling each other stories. One evening, their bedroom transforms into a magical world, and the two find themselves caught up in the mystery of the missing Mayor Bjergstrøm. A mysterious letter, a tiny seed and a giant pear set them off on an extraordinary adventure.
Along the way to the Mysterious Island, Mitcho and Sebastian encounter pirates, a sea dragon and a gang of ghosts. With courage, music, mystery and plenty of humour, this promises to be a wonderfully imaginative voyage – and perhaps a pear-fect reunion at the end.
Please note that this performance will be held in Norwegian.
