Zum Hauptinhalt

This evening’s reading circle is led by choreographer Ingri Fiksdal. A selected text will be explored through an open conversation about performance art, artistic practice and the development of ideas. No prior knowledge is required – only curiosity and a willingness to take part in the discussion.

Ingri Fiksdal has worked as a choreographer since 2006 and has produced more than 30 performances. A recurring theme in her work has been affect and the sensory impact of performances on audiences. From 2013 to 2019, Fiksdal completed a PhD in artistic research at Oslo National Academy of the Arts with the project Affective Choreographies. In recent years, her work has also focused on choreography as a format for speculative fiction, inspired by collaboration with the CoFutures research group at the University of Oslo from 2020 to 2024.

Reading Circle: Performing Arts was initiated and developed by dance artist Marie Ronold Mathisen and is produced in collaboration with Tou, DansiS and RAS. The reading circle explores different texts relating to the performing arts and creates space for contemporary questions. The aim is to provide a space for developing and deepening shared references, language and vocabulary, as well as friendship and solidarity.

A simple evening meal will be served, and participation is free.
