Pub Choir with Nils Christian Fossdal
Organiser: Nils Christian Fossdal
Doors open: 6 pm
Pub choir is exactly what it sounds like – singing together in a pub, with an informal, welcoming atmosphere and a chance for everyone to join in.
Nils Christian Fossdal leads the evening, preparing a lovely song that should be fun for everyone to sing. Vocal parts are arranged and a plan is put together for learning the song. Lyrics are provided on arrival.
Around an hour and a half is spent learning the song, followed by singing together and enjoying a relaxed, sociable evening. The bar is open, with the option to enjoy a drink, a cup of tea or coffee – or simply join in without ordering anything.
Once everyone has learnt the song and the atmosphere is just right, the evening ends informally with a little concert performed for the group itself. A simple video recording may be made as a keepsake.
No previous experience, preparation or commitment is required. All that is needed is a willingness to join in and sing with others.
