One of our most beloved Christmas traditions is Per Asplin’s classic Christmas adventure, Putti Plutti Pott and Father Christmas’s Beard. This musical family show delights thousands of children and parents every year!
Asplin wrote and composed the much-loved story as far back as 1969. First came the book, followed by the LP record, and the following year the TV programme featuring Per and the children, Kari Diesen as Mrs Santa Claus, and Harald Heide-Steen Jr. and Jon Skolmen as Kalle and Palle. The stage show premiered in 1987, and since then the production has toured the country, delighting ever-new generations.
Stavanger has been a regular stop for the Christmas musical, and as usual, we will see local children on stage alongside the professional actors.
