Poland has a long-standing tango tradition that goes back over 100 years, and tango remains strong in Poland today, with many major festivals and skilled, active dancers.
The ensemble Re!Tango was established in 2018. They have released two CDs and performed at major concerts and tango festivals.
Re!Tango is known for playing beautifully, with remarkable precision, warmth, and joy. Their arrangements are close to the classical, beloved style of a tango orquesta típica.
At this concert, we will also experience the exquisite dancers Murat Erdemsel and Silvina Tse, performing selected numbers with the orchestra. Murat and Silvina are masters of dancing with elegance, sensitivity, and playful musicality. This is a rare opportunity to see and hear an authentic representation of the tango’s interplay between music and dance on the same stage.
