Iconic Seigmen are embarking on a new tour.
“You must never give up. Never give in. Never stop dreaming,” proclaims Seigmen vocalist Alex Møklebust in the opening of the song “Dyret” from 23 bud. Autobiographical, perhaps.
Seigmen are clearly a child of the 1990s, a decade in which they conquered both concert audiences and the charts with their distinctive sound and now-classic album releases such as Total and, not least, the platinum-selling and Spellemann Award-winning Metropolis.
With that as a starting point, one could be forgiven for thinking this is a band that has passed its peak, and that their mission in 2026 is simply to replay old songs for old fans. Nothing could be further from the truth. Two excellent album releases in as many years have filled their catalogue with new audience favourites, and a new generation is beginning to discover the attraction and raw power this band possesses on stage.
Seigmen cannot always be explained, it has to be experienced. Whether you are one of the many who return to their concerts again and again, or are experiencing “Dyret” for the first time, a Seigmen concert is a journey through time and emotions, a tension that is built and then released.
It is a journey that you know will end in the explosion that is “Hjernen er alene.” It is no secret, a grand finale you know is coming, yet one you are never truly prepared for. Seigmen’s definitive monster version of the deLillos classic unites band and audience in a way rarely experienced in a concert venue.
As Seigmen head out on tour once again, they do so with yet another new album on the horizon, although we still have to wait a few months for its release. Substans will be the third and final album in the trilogy that began with Resonans and Dissonans.
“We are alike, we are one,” sings Seigmen in Slaver av solen, perhaps a little prophetically, considering that this five-headed troll of a band has remained together since the late 1980s.
Those who have not yet experienced Seigmen live should seize the opportunity. Seigmen are a band that always delivers and have never been better than they are right now.
