Seigmen to USF Verftet – ready for a new tour and new heights
One of Norway's most iconic bands is once again ready for the road. Saturday 14 November Seigmen takes the stage at USF Verftet – with new material, classics and a live show that still sets the standard.
From 90s icons to eternal primal force Seigmen helped define Norway's 90s rock scene, with albums such as Total and the Spellemann-winning Metropolis. Since then they have cemented their position as a band with a completely distinctive expression – and an ability to hit both the charts and concert stages.
It is easy to assume that a band with such a long track record rests on old laurels. But Seigmen does the opposite.
A strong present – and a new album on the way With two critically acclaimed albums in recent years the band has shown an impressive creative drive, and filled the catalogue with new audience favourites. At the same time a new generation has discovered what Seigmen actually are live: a force that must be experienced, not explained.
This autumn the follow-up Substans also arrives – the third and final part of the trilogy that started with Resonans and Dissonans.
A concert experience without equal A Seigmen concert is more than a collection of songs – it is an intense journey through moods, contrasts and build-up. Audiences are taken from the understated to the explosive, before it all culminates in the monumental closing number «Hjernen er alene» – a moment that brings band and hall together in a completely unique way.
Better than ever Seigmen have stayed together since the late 80s, and today appear stronger than they have in a long time. For fans this is a long-awaited continuation – for new audiences a rare opportunity to experience one of Norway's most distinctive live bands.
When Seigmen comes to USF Verftet on 14 November, everything is in place for an evening of both history, weight and raw nerve.
