It's Not My Film is a well-acted and warm comedy. Wanda and Janek have been married for ten years and everyday life has begun to wear on their relationship. Is there hope? They decide to embark on a 400-kilometre trip along the Baltic Sea to save their marriage. They have to be together 24/7, stay on the beach, live simply and without contact with the outside world. If they reach their goal, their marriage will continue. If not, they will call it quits. Equipped with a tent, a primus stove and vague expectations, they set off on a grey February day. It doesn't take long before both their differences and the bad weather create friction, while at the same time bringing them closer together again.
Maria Zbaska has worked as a photographer and cinematographer for several years and has directed short films, documentaries and commercials before making her feature film debut with this beautiful, award-winning film, for which she also wrote the screenplay and was the cinematographer.
