Stavanger Art Museum may be closed, but the city itself is an open-air gallery.
Stavanger Art Museum and Stavanger Municipality invite visitors to a series of Sunday guided walks exploring artworks from the municipality’s public art collection.
On Sunday 11 October, art educator Siren Løkaas leads a walking talk about Antony Gormley’s Broken Column in Stavanger city centre. The artwork consists of 23 identical iron figures installed at different locations across the city. The tour visits a selection of these distinctive “rusty men”.
The guided tour is free of charge, but advance booking is required.
Meeting point: Broken Column, by Fisketorget/Indre Vågen.
