Sondre Lerche & Band embark on the Acrobats Norwegian Tour
Sondre Lerche emerges with new music and ambitious plans for 2026. His latest single, Little Kids, has already received widespread acclaim, including a six-star review from Dagsavisen, which described it as "Lerche at his very best, and a confident step into an exciting new chapter."
That next chapter revolves around Acrobats, Lerche's new album, released on 21 August. Following an intensive US tour in September, he returns to Norway accompanied by his much-loved and exceptionally accomplished band: Chris Holm on bass, Alexander von Mehren on keyboards and Dave Heilman on drums.
Last year's two sold-out performances at the Oslo Opera House captivated audiences and set a new benchmark for what a Norwegian pop artist can achieve on stage. This autumn, Lerche is eager to reconnect with audiences in more intimate venues, alongside his long-time bandmates and an extensive catalogue of songs spanning his career.
Lerche has already announced six special concerts at Oslo's Parkteatret across two consecutive weekends, from 15–17 October and 22–24 October. The tour now expands to include ten additional Norwegian cities throughout October.
Speaking about the tour, Lerche says:
"We're bringing a broad repertoire of both old and new songs. I'd love to revisit some older material we haven't played for a while and let it bloom alongside the new Acrobats tracks. The new songs are bold and great fun to perform, and the band is groovier and hungrier than ever. We can't wait to be together again and to meet audiences in close, intimate club settings."
The tour also marks an important milestone.
"We're celebrating fifteen years of playing together. The bond between us and the music runs deep. It's one of the most meaningful things we do."
Earlier this year, Lerche released the EP Turning Up The Heat Again, which received outstanding reviews from leading Norwegian newspapers, including Aftenposten, Dagsavisen, Bergens Tidende and Klassekampen. Critics praised both the songwriting and lyrical ambition, while Aftenposten described Lerche as "one of Norway's greatest pop musicians".
Since then, Lerche has completed a successful run as the songwriter Christian in Moulin Rouge! The Musical at Chateau Neuf, performing 130 sold-out shows. He now returns to the stage under his own name with Acrobats, the follow-up to the Spellemann Award-winning double album Avatars Of Love, one of Norway's most critically acclaimed releases of 2022.
The Acrobats tour promises another chapter of unforgettable live performances, combining new material with beloved songs from across Lerche's remarkable career.
