Some Songs Refuse to Disappear
Some songs simply refuse to fade away.
They reappear when least expected – in old notebooks, on worn recordings, or in memories once thought to be left behind.
Some of those songs found their way back. They were looking for somewhere to take root. Somewhere to keep growing.
When Gunnar Sannes Hauge joined forces with Håvard Degenes on keyboards, Thomas Samuelsen on guitar and Samuel Nimoson Jr. on drums, something unexpected happened. The songs grew beyond the memories they came from. They took on new shapes, new colours and new stories.
That was also when the name appeared:
Songs We Forgot.
Not because the songs had actually been forgotten. Quite the opposite.
They had simply been waiting.
Waiting for the right time. The right people. The right connections.
The music moves between indie pop, singer-songwriter, alternative rock and organic electronic soundscapes. But perhaps this project is about more than genres. It's about the way some things lie dormant, only to find their way back when the time is right.
This is Songs We Forgot's very first concert.
And perhaps, this is only the beginning.
