From Mozart’s sparkling symphony to a brand-new trombone concerto.
The evening opens with the bright and energetic Symphony No. 33 by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, before trombonist Ian Bousfield performs a newly commissioned work by Francisco Coll.
After the interval, Dmitri Shostakovich takes us into one of the most powerful and intense symphonic landscapes in music history with his Symphony No. 5.
