Welcome to an informal and exciting concert series with a varied artistic programme.
This concert brings together works from three different eras – Viennese Classicism, Romanticism, and early Modernism – offering audiences an intimate encounter with the diversity of chamber music.
Beethoven’s duet for viola and cello opens with an intimate dialogue between two instruments rarely heard alone, followed by Haydn’s string quartet, showcasing classical form at its most elegant and balanced. Max Bruch’s Eight Pieces for clarinet, viola, and piano provides space for warm tones and lyrical lines.
The Kammerfest i Valen series features musicians from the Stavanger Symphony Orchestra performing pieces they have personally selected.
Audiences are invited to sit around the musicians on stage, as well as on the choir balcony, bringing listeners closer to the performance and creating a personal and unique concert experience.
