Strengeplukk – A Bluegrass Christmas
After many years of hosting the traditional Christmas Bluegrass Evening at Herr Nilsen in Oslo, Strengeplukk has turned this festive musical highlight into a touring show. The programme features much-loved Christmas classics in an infectious bluegrass style, alongside clever arrangements of new Christmas music. The country’s finest bluegrass band will welcome the festive season gathered around a single microphone, with close vocal harmonies and acoustic instruments.
There will also be special guests! The guest artists will be announced in due course!
Strengeplukk brings together some of Norway’s busiest bluegrass musicians, who also perform with artists such as Jonas Fjeld, Hagle, Gunslingers and Susanne Sundfør. The band was formed in Stavanger in 2015.
