Strømklang presents: Jan Bang & Andrea Giordano first met at Punkt Festival 2025, where a live remix set evolved into the beginning of a new and exciting collaboration. The duo works with electronics and live voice sampling, letting two distinct and contrasting expressions meet in an intense musical interplay.
Jan Bang is regarded as a legend in live sampling and is one of the leading pioneers in the field internationally. He has collaborated with artists such as David Sylvian, Sidsel Endresen, Nils Petter Molvær, and Tigran Hamasyan, and has performed on stages including Carnegie Hall.
Andrea Giordano is an Oslo-based musician and composer who works with voice, electronics, and improvisation, known for her distinctive and physical expression. Together, they explore the tension between structure and collision, where both sound and bodily presence are active parts of the music.
The concert at Strømklang on 19 March is a rare opportunity to experience a completely fresh collaboration in live development.
Strømklang is a concert series for electronic music in Stavanger, curated by John Derek Bishop and held at Folken. It gives the city’s residents the chance to experience innovative and exciting electronic music.
The concert series is supported by the Arts Council Norway, Stavanger Municipality, and Rogaland County Council.
