What happens when three guys from Sogn og Fjordane start digging into the places they come from, the people they have met and all the strange, beautiful and melancholy things one collects through a life? Then you get Summetonar ❤️
Olav Stedje, Odd-Erik Lothe and Finn Tokvam have brought together their music, stories and humour in a project with its roots firmly planted on the West Coast. Here both Balestrand, Vadheim, Nordfjord, Sogn and Kjølsdalen appear – but you absolutely do not need to be from the West Coast to recognise yourself.
For behind the place names lie the stories of growing up and belonging, love and longing, people you have met and places you never quite finish with.
The majority of the songs are written by Odd-Erik Lothe and Finn Tokvam, with their own translations of classics such as Wichita Lineman and Galveston mixed in.
And between the songs? There you find Finn Tokvam – with the warm, wry and humorous observations that only Finn Tokvam can deliver.
