The restored version of Ken Russell's celebrated psychological horror drama
In 1971 three English films each challenged audiences, cinema managers and the British censorship body BBFC in their own way: Straw Dogs (Sam Peckinpah), A Clockwork Orange (Stanley Kubrick) and Ken Russell's The Devils.
We are showing the restored version of The Devils in 4K.
Restored in 2026 by Warner Bros. at Warner Bros. Post Production Creative Services, Water Tower Color, from the original camera negative. Audio restored at Warner Bros. Sound, from the 35mm magnetic composite sound. Additional 35mm original elements have been used for reference.
