From 22 to 25 July 2026, Vågen in Stavanger will be filled with sailing ships, happy young people, concerts, exhibitions and activities for young and old alike. Everything is free – and everyone is invited to join in!
The Tall Ships Races are annual international regattas that aim to develop and educate young people aged 15-25 through sailing training, regardless of nationality, culture, religion, gender or social background. At least half of the crew must be in this age group.
The Tall Ships events are considered Europe's largest free family event. In 2026, the cities of Aarhus, Harlingen, Antwerp, Stavanger and Aalborg will be host ports in collaboration with the international sailing training organisation Sail Training International.
