Trio Vitalis – chamber music that does you good
Trio Vitalis brings together Brandt Fredriksen (piano), Sebastian Dörfler (cello) and Stefan Kölsch (violin), a professor and world-leading researcher on music, the brain and the therapeutic effects of music.
The programme features Brahms' Piano Trio No. 1 and Mendelssohn's Piano Trio in D minor, Op. 49, accompanied by short, engaging introductions to how music affects the brain, our emotions and our health.
Trio Vitalis combines chamber music at a high artistic level with insights into how music can promote well-being, reduce stress, capture our attention, and create warmth and a sense of connection.
The concert series is supported by the City of Bergen.
