Tromsø has a rich musical life where Tromsø Storband stands strong. The band can show an impressive list of both Norwegian and internationally acclaimed jazz musicians they have collaborated with and shared the stage with over the years. Tonight however it is the big band itself that takes the lead role, and the band's own musicians step forward as soloists.
On the programme are original works for Tromsø Storband, all signed by the band's conductor and musical director Fred Glesnes. The music we will hear was released on Tromsø Storbands third album "69° 39′ NORTH" in 2024, in connection with the band's 20th anniversary.
