Trond Helge Johnsen has previously performed at Madam Felle and ViseBasaren to great acclaim. This time, we get to enjoy him again, joined by his friends Christian Nystrøm and Ingvar Hovland.
Trond Helge is the artist with gold in his voice and scars on his soul. After various orphanages, institutions, and stints in jail, he was thankfully rescued by someone other than the police: music. Today, he is an established singer celebrated by both his audience and prominent Norwegian colleagues, who describe him as an extraordinary communicator with a god-given voice, a commanding stage presence, and genuine emotion in his heart.
Christian Nystrøm has a résumé longer than the Hollywood Walk of Fame and thrives across multiple musical genres. Among MANY others, he has produced, written for, or performed with Kurt Nilsen, Maria Mena, Umberto Tossi, Olav Stedje, Åge Sten Nilsen, Maria Haukaas Mittet, Ravi, Samantha Fox, Tone Damli, The Monroes, Johnny Logan, Katrina from Katrina And The Waves, Bobbysocks, as well as his “own” bands Loveshack and Frimann (where Trond Helge was the vocalist).
Ingvar Hovland is best known for his poor singing voice and excellent lyrics for Vamp, Lars Martin Myhre, Eigil Berg, Elle Melle, Ingebjørg Bratland, Rita Eriksen, Vidar Johnsen, Frode Alnæs, Trond Granlund, Åse Kleveland, Stavangerensemblet, Helene Bøksle, Olav Stedje, New Jordal Swingers, Blest, Torbjørn Økland, Frimann, and many more. In addition, he has written for and performed in numerous revues and cabarets – including for many years with Tønes.
