Vepsestikk is an uncompromising quartet from Bergen that experiments with elements from indie, punk, prog rock and jazz. With trumpet in stereo and "other wonderful oddities, lively supported by a creative rhythm section" (Jazznytt, October 2024) they make music described as "a kind of jazz punk of the really catchy variety". In 2023 the band released their debut EP "Ny Person", described as "the year's most distinctive debut" in Bergens Tidende (BT), and which garnered 5 hearts in both BT and Klassekampen's music magazine. "Regardless of age it is relatable for everyone who feels they have not peaked yet!" writes NRK P3 reviewer Sofie Granberg about the title track "Ny person".
